This Sunday, Jannie Venter will be recognized for her time as the legendary “Queen of Gospel.”

The radio legend is someone that has influenced the Black Belt region with the platform she has made to perform her ministry to her listeners.

Since beginning her career in 1973, she has touched the lives of so many people with her gospel program and has also been a civil servant serving as a Selma City Council member from 2004 to 2008 serving Ward 8. 

At 77-years-old, Venter has a lot to be proud of, and we encourage everyone to celebrate with her looking back at her vast and successful career here.
