Maxine Knight Burkhardt, age 95, entered into Heaven on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018. She was born in Guntersville on Nov. 4, 1922. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 at Lawrence Brown – Service Funeral Home, followed by graveside service at 4 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery. Mrs. Burkhardt was preceded in death by her husband Herman H. Burkhardt in 2007. Maxine is survived by sons Charles Henry (Charlotte) Burkhardt of Birmingham, Robert Knight (Deanna) Burkhardt of Kennesaw, Georgia, daughter Susan Burkhardt (Bob) Seitz of Lilburn, Georgia; six grandchildren, Chad and Heather Burkhardt of Denver, Colorado, Katy (Burkhardt) and Jamie Haley of Helena, Jonathan and April Burkhardt of Dallas, Georgia, Michael and Cristal Burkhardt of Dallas, Georgia, Brian and Sarah Burkhardt of Dallas, Georgia, Taylor Seitz of Dunwoody, Georgia; and 13 great-grandchildren.
