Saturday shooting victim suffers non-life threatening injuries

Selma Police Chief Spencer Collier confirmed a shooting occurred on Saturday night around 8 p.m.
The shooting occurred on Keller Alley where responding officers found a 15-year-old shooting victim was shot in the arm. The victim was transported to Vaughan Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, according to Collier.
Collier said that investigators are still processing the scene, and the incident is still under investigation.
“The victim in this shooting was also the victim in a shooting in East Selma several weeks ago,” said Collier. “Additionally, he was present during the homicide on Marie Foster last month. Selma Police Department (SPD) has completed the investigation regarding the homicide on Marie Foster and referred its findings to the District Attorney’s Office.”
Collier said that although the victim in Saturday’s shooting refused any cooperation with the SPD investigation, significant progress int he case in identifying Saturday’s shooter.
