Art Guild to hold watercolor classes
The Selma Art Guild is hosting its three-part watercolor workshop July 14, 21 and 28. Each workshop will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the art guild located at 508 Selma Ave. The total cost for all three parts is $120. No matter the level of expertise all artists are welcome to join in on the fun. The Selma Art Guild’s very own, Joanna Nichols will present each workshop.
Not only is the art guild hosting a workshop, there will also be an opening reception for the Artist of the Month, Cynthia “Cindy” Anderson on Sunday, July 15 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Cindy specializes in watercolors and pastel paintings, and is also a member of the art guild. The reception is free and refreshments will be served to all guests in attendance.
In addition, the last chance to see the Juried Summer Art Show will be Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30. Anderson has four of her original paintings on display for the show, and she said she was honored all four of her pieces were chosen to be in the show.
“All four of mine were chosen, and that made me feel really good,” Anderson said.
The art showings for both days are noon until 4 p.m. There is no charge for the art showing.
