The city of Selma will make last week’s primary election official on Tuesday.

Provisional ballots will also be counted Tuesday.

In a recap, Mike Granthum won the Dallas County Sherriff’s race, defeating Michael D. Goings 5,933 to 4,749.

For the Dallas County Circuit clerk race, Lynnethia Robinson defeated Christmas Green-Williams with 5,597 votes to 4,892.

Roy Edwards took the Dallas County School Board District 2 seat, defeating Melvin Flanagan-Brown with 60 percent of the vote. In the Dallas County School Board District 3 spot, Mamie Williams-Solomon won with 888 votes, holding off Frank Chestnut Sr. at 395 votes and Carolyn Calhoun-Bates at 353.

In the State Representative District No. 67 contest, Prince Chestnut defeated Jelani Coleman, with 7,750 votes to 2,546.

Terrell Marshall captured the State Democratic Executive Committee male position, receiving 5,646 votes.

The probate judge will be decided in a July 17 runoff between city attorney Jimmy Nunn and Nicholas Switzer. Nunn received 3,983 votes, Switzer had 3,753.
