Mr. Lee E. Maxwell Sr., 74, of Selma, passed away May 31, 2018, at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2018, noon at Greater New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Blount officiating. Burial will follow in Greater New Hope Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Essie Maxwell; son, Lee (Sequoyah) Maxwell; daughters, Sandra (Pastor Develkio) Wilson, Lesa (Terrald) Thomas Sr., Dania Maxwell, Erica (A.J.) England; mother-in-law, Julia Wilks; father-in-law, Sam Crum; brothers, James (Marie) Maxwell, John (Annie) Maxwell, and Benjamin (Claudette) Maxwell; sisters, Edith McCree, Dorothy Fikes, Ella Williams, and Deborah (Sam) Woodfin; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; host of nieces and nephews; seven brothers-in-law; eight sisters-in-law; special nephews and godsons, Tony Wilks and Charles Gunn; special friend, Lewis Fincher.
