George Albert Nassaney, of Selma, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, with his loving wife, Betty Nassaney at his bedside, after a lengthy illness.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne Marie Nassaney, and his parents, George and Sue Nassaney.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, George Nassaney, Jr., Deborah Britton (Richard), Susan Dubose (Mike), David Nassaney, and Robin Hamm (Mike); his step-children, Benita Hayes (Jerry) and Melisa Payne (James); his sisters, Jean Pilkington of Miami, Florida, and Nancy Baines of Guntersville, Alabama and his brother, Bob Nassaney of Key Largo, Florida. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Selma Funeral Home, with services following at 2 p.m., with Rev. Clark Skelton and Father Richard Mahalyk officiating. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery on Highway 82 in Maplesville.

Pallbearers are grandchildren, Kevin Benton, Jeri Blackmon, Shannon Cook, Chapman Cook, Jonathan Payne, and Joshua Payne.
