They will raffle off a 2018 17 ½ foot G-3 Sportsman fast boat with a 94 stroke Yamaha valuing at around $20,000.

Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100.

Entrants do not have to be present to win. All of the proceeds will benefit the Parent Teacher Organization at Meadowview Christian School.

Michael Blair, Meadowview Christian School headmaster, said this fundraiser is a way for the PTO to raise money for the school.

According to Blair, because Meadowview is a private school, they do not receive state or federal funding.

“[PTO] does a lot around the school to support the teachers and the children of Meadowview Christian School,” he said. “Everything we get comes from the parents.”

Blair said PTO president Raymond Robinson, organized the raffle to be held on St. Patrick’s Day. He said the school has done fundraisers for the PTO in the past, but this is the first time it has ever raffled off a boat.

Blair said there are a lot of people that worked really hard organizing this fundraiser for the school.

“I appreciate all those people that have worked so hard selling tickets, our PTO president and his staff,” he said.
