No matter who the guest is at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library for its Lunch at the Library program, there is always a great turnout.

Going on 20-plus years, the library has hosted the event and given a platform to cooks, artists, crafters, authors and many others to show the community what they do.

It is certainly one of the most successful and well-liked events in Selma, as there always seems to be a crowd no matter who the event features. The most recent Lunch at the Library hosted Chef Harry Dominick, executive chef for the Edmundite Missions Bosco Nutrition Center.

Dominick demonstrated how to cook champagne chicken, a special Valentine’s Day dish.

The chef was very well-received, and his food was delicious. Kudos to the library for hosting him and showing off what he can do. We can’t wait to see who else the library showcases to the community.
