Dallas County Probate Judge Kim Ballard declared the month of February will be recognized as Career Tech Month earlier this week in honor of the work being done at the Dallas County Career Technical Center.
When asked what one of the biggest problems in Selma and Dallas County, many business leaders will say job training.
Thousands of people travel into Selma and Dallas County each day for jobs.
What this center is doing is training students for the workforce and preparing them for a job when they graduate high school.
The center takes students out of the classroom and simulates a real-life job situaiton, which can go a long way in helping them find a job after graduation or choose a career to study in college.
