A 31-year-old Montgomery man was killed in a single-vehicle accident just outside of Selma Saturday night.
According to Senior Trooper Retinal King with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Christopher Obrian Coleman was killed when the 2003 Chevrolet Suburban he was driving left the roadway and overturned.
Coleman, who King said was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle. Coleman was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 80 near the 93-mile marker.
According to King, the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation, but speed is believed to have been a factor in the accident.
No further information has been released about the crash, which remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
This is the fourth fatal traffic accident in Dallas County over the last seven days.
