Mabel Grindle Piper, age 85, of Mobile, formerly of Selma, passed away Jan. 22, 2018,
She is survived by four daughters, Debbie Piper (Ron) Pelletier of Mobile, Gina Piper (Steve) Williams of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Cindi Piper Hamm of Ft. Walton, Florida and Edie Piper Jewell of Mobile; one son, Steve (Stephanie) Piper of Selma; eight grandchildren, Blake (Nicki) Moseley, Chad (Keli) Williams, Brent (Cheyenne) Williams, Brian (Amanda) Piper, Lauren Piper (Jeffrey) Eiland, Kelly Hamm (Scott) Jordan, Kevin (Emily) Hamm and Camryn Anese Jewell; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mabel was preceded by her parents, Roy Alvin and Edress Hinton Grindle; two brothers, Jimmy Grindle and Charles Grindle; and sister, Helen Grindle Moore.
Visitation will be held at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home 1–1:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018. Graveside services will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery at 2 p.m. Her nephew, Ronnie Moore, will conduct the service.
Pallbearers will be Blake Moseley, Brian Piper, Chad Williams, Brent Williams, Kevin Hamm and Monk Moore.
