Mary Elizabeth Thomas Rhyne, age 85, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Benton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clayton Speed, the Rev. Lee Tate, the Rev. Lincoln Speece and the Rev. Ray Wells officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial at Benton Community Church Cemetery followed by celebration reception.

She is preceded by her husband, Carroll Hoffman Rhyne Sr.; parents, Edward Micjah and Edith Austeen Salter Thomas; and brothers, Mack Thomas and Austin Thomas.

Mrs. Rhyne is survived by her sons, Carroll Hoffman Rhyne Jr. (Beckie), David Nelson Rhyne (Diane) and Daniel Thomas Rhyne (Patricia); daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rhyne Speed (Clayton); grandchildren, Ashley Rhyne Williams, Carroll Hoffman Rhyne III, Kennedy Rhyne Walker, Robert Rhett Rhyne, David Nelson Rhyne Jr., Mary Kathryn Rhyne Kendig, Rachel Margan Farrar Rhyne, Laura Rhyne Tabor, Daniel Thomas Rhyne Jr., Emily Rhyne Summerlin, Clayton King Speed Jr., Isabelle Rhyne Speed, Joshua Graham Speed and Judith Gabrielle Speed, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Carroll Hoffman Rhyne III, Daniel Thomas Rhyne Jr., David Nelson Rhyne Jr., Robert Rhett Rhyne, Clayton King Speed Jr. and Joshua Graham Speed.
