Mr. Hosea D. Purifoy, 70, of Valley Grande, passed away Nov. 25, 2017, at Jackson Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at noon at St. Paul Community Methodist Church with pastor Joseph Coleman Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Zion M.P. Church with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia D. Purifoy; two sons, Hosea Jr. and James L. Purifoy; five daughters, LaKeesha Purifoy, Shemika Morgan, Sheneva Purifoy, Chaka Purifoy and Kendra Purifoy; four brothers, Chester Purifoy, Jeff Himes, Daniel Purifoy and William Purifoy; three sisters, Doris Ford, Vivian Brown and Ruth Cummings; 13 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; uncles, Benjamin Penny and Cleveland Reese; and aunt, Lizzie Watkins.
