The Selma Art Guild is giving families the chance to create one of a kind Christmas wrapping paper.
The art guild is providing a free Christmas wrapping paper station as a part of the First Morning Art Walk on Dec. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at 508 Selma Ave.
All art supplies will be provided as families are encouraged to let out their inner Picasso.
The First Morning Art Walk is a collective effort by different local artists to showcase their artwork to the community.
During this event, art studios throughout the city will have open houses for people to come in, look and possibly purchase artwork.
The art walk happens every first Saturday of each month 8 a.m. to noon.
The Selma Art Guild is also hosting their annual Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 2-4 p.m. During the party, there will be music, fun and food. There will also be art available for purchase.
The Selma Art Guild has been showcasing local and non-local artwork for more than 40 years. Since its grass roots start in the 1970s to now, the art guild’s mission has been to promote art education through lectures, art history and workshops.
“Local artists are here, and we need to keep them going,” said Karen Weir, a Selma Art Guild member.
