Restaurant employee robbed at gunpoint

A 25-year-old Selma man was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night in the alley behind a downtown restaurant.
According to an incident report from the Selma Police Department, the victim, an employee at El Rancheros, was robbed while taking a smoke break around 8:20 p.m.
The victim told officers he had just stepped out the back door of the restaurant to smoke when he was approached by an unknown black male armed with a gun. He told officers the suspect was wearing blue jeans and had a red shirt over his face.
The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and told him “give me everything you got.”
The victim said he cooperated and gave the gunman $40 in cash, his cell phone, and his debit card.
The suspect then fled the scene. When officers arrived on the scene, they searched the area but could not find the suspect.
