The Water Avenue project has been a long time coming. For the last several months, crews have been on the road working to complete the project that should come to an end in the next month.  The city should continue to apply for grants in the future to continue the beatification of downtown Selma and go after other infrastructure improvements. 

The other side of Water Avenue was redone a few years ago, so we’re glad to see the project being completed. Although it was delayed several times, it’s still good to see the work being done.

Hopefully in the future projects can be done in a more timely manner, because Selma has potentially lost out on other grant money because of delays with this project.
