Julian Parke Keith Sr. passed away at home, Monday, July 17, 2017, of cancer. Parke was born in Selma, March 24, 1946.

He was predeceased by his parents, Chambliss Keith Jr., and Caroline Atkins Keith.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cummings Keith; two children, Parke (Laura) Keith Jr. of Huntsville, and Chambliss Keith Brister (David) of Mobile; sister, Ada Keith Kramer of Olympia, Washington; brother, Chambliss (Chunkie) Keith, III of Olympia, Washington; five grandchildren, Anna Claire Keith, Caroline Keith, Atkins Keith, Parke Brister and Koen Brister.

Parke was a lifelong resident of Selma and a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He attended The University of the South and graduated from Cumberland Law School. He was the third generation of his family to practice law in Selma.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rector Jack Alvey officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Jones, James Mooney, Caleb Morris, John Pilcher and Jamie Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Cartledge Blackwell, Caldwell DeBardeleben, Fred McCormick, Jack Mooney, Dr. Todd Sherrer, Harold Speir, Dr. Kent Taylor and Jim Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 210 Lauderdale Street, Selma, AL 36701 or a charity of choice.
