William Edison “Ed” Swindle, age 84, of Selma, passed away June 15, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Howell and Ollie Lavenia Swindle; and siblings, Ila Mae Aultman, Edwin Swindle and James Kenneth Swindle.

Surviving are his wife, Betty June Smith Swindle; children, Polly Swindle (Danny) Hightower, Jean Swindle Harrison and Forrest (Crystal) Swindle; special family member, Ruth Boswell; sisters, Lila Jean Aultman and Lorene (Henry) Hill; brother, Thomas Wayne (Marie) Swindle; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Sanders and George Sides officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 18, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Josh Swindle, Jake Swindle, Zack Harrison, Danny Hightower, Henry Hill and Thomas Swindal.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Hamilton and Dale Boswell.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
