Today marks the opening of the Selma Art Guild’s annual show, which features many new artists. The show opens with a reception at the art guild, located at 508 Selma Ave., from 2-4 p.m.
“We’ve had several people that are brand new and are in their first art show ever,” said Karen Weir, co-president of the Art Guild. “They are so excited to come to the reception and be among other artists.”
If you haven’t made plans to stop by the guild, we encourage everyone to do so. It is a great way to see the work of the many talented artists Selma and Dallas County have to offer. The show includes paintings and photography, as well as other mixed media.
There are around 60 different pieces for visitors to see. The show was judged by Brooks Barrow from Montgomery. The guild always offers great art for people to see any buy.
This show will remain open on Fridays and Saturdays from noon until 4 p.m. throughout the months of June and July. Be sure to stop by.
