Thursday night marked the end of graduation season here in Selma and Dallas County, and while it may serve as the end of one chapter, it is just the beginning of a whole new one for the hundreds that received their diplomas.

We would like to congratulate all the graduates from each of the seven area high schools, as well as the college graduates from Wallace Community College, Selma University and Concordia College. Graduating is not an easy task, and you should all be proud of yourselves. But don’t let this be the end of your hard work.

Whether you are going into the work force, joining the military or continuing your education, keep working. You have bright futures ahead of you, and we can’t wait to see what you do.
