Mr. Roosevelt “Bru Mac” McElroy Sr., 83, of Selma and formerly of Orrville, passed away May 21, 2017, in Selma.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Aimwell Baptist Church in Hazen with the Rev. Arnold Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Orrville with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie McElroy; children, Hazel (Tracy) Reese, Annie McElroy Williams, elder Wesley McElroy, Roosevelt (Angela) McElroy Jr., Quantana McElroy, Amelia (Woody) Washington, Luenett (Bruce) Williams, Sam (Malenie) McElroy, Sherman McElroy and Willie (Natalie) McElroy; daughter-in-law, Dannie McElroy; son-in-law, Robert Williams; brother, Sam (Vera) McElroy; five brothers-in-law, Lovell (Rosie) Fails, Edward Fails, George (Margerette) Fails, Samuel (Thelma) Fails and RC (Mattie) Fails; sisters, Mary S. Moore and Ernestine Tolbert; sisters-in-law, Maple McElroy, Hannie Steve, Delores (Leon) Howard, Estella Reese and Katie (Calvin) Rhump; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and special nephews, Jonas and Titus Howard.
