Charles Willard Snodgrass

Charles Willard Snodgrass, born Nov. 7, 1921, to Samuel Alex Snodgrass and Nancy Obedience Rivers Snodgrass in Bashi, died May 20, 2017, in Selma at the age of 95 after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his five siblings.
The majority of his adult life was spent in Selma after serving 22 years in the U.S. Air Force and worked 17 years at International Paper.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Frances Chism Snodgrass; children, Pricilla Ann Thompson (Tommy), Ricky Snodgrass and Sarah Arnette Lenoir; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his precious Molly.
He enjoyed his Lionel train set-up for many, many years in addition to his woodworking and Alabama football.
The family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice for their loving care and support and thank all their friends and neighbors for their prayers, food, love and support.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Selma Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, May 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in New Live Oak Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be the deacons of Elkdale Baptist Church with honorary pallbearers being the members of the Frank Earnest Sunday School Class.
