Over the last few days hundreds of college students walked across stages in Selma dressed in their caps and gowns to get their diplomas. Selma University, Wallace Community College Selma and Concordia College Alabama held commencement ceremonies this weekend.
We would like to congratulate them all as they take the next step in their lives, whether it is to continuing their education or beginning their professional careers.
Graduating college is no easy feat, and all of those that made it through years of long, sleepless nights of studying and writing essays should be proud of themselves. It’s truly an incredible accomplishment.
There are many young men and women that have shown so much potential here in Selma during their time in the classroom, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
Hundreds of high school students from Selma, Dallas, Southside, Keith, Morgan, Meadowview Christian and Ellwood will also be graduating in the coming weeks. Meadow and Morgan will hold their commencement ceremonies later this week, and the others will graduate next week.
We wish you all well as you prepare to move on to bigger and bright things, such as pursuing a college or degree or entering the workforce.
