Selma’s Purrrfect Pals, a local group of volunteers that help area cats and kittens, is holding a raffle Friday that will benefit area animals.
The winner will receive a basket full of area gift cards, several bags of goodies and much more. Most importantly, anyone who participates will also help our area kittens and help give them a better life.
This is the time of year when there’s a big increase in the number of kittens and cats brought into the Selma Animal Hospital and all of the costs can pile up quickly. Anyone that doesn’t want to buy a raffle ticket can also help by being a foster home for the cats. There’s a foster to adopt program where people can foster kittens and cats and then have them spayed or neutered for the adoption.
Selma’s Purrrfect Pals often goes the extra mile to ensure that cats are nursed back to health. A perfect example is a mother cat and her kittens that were brought in earlier this week. The mother had been shot in the leg. Selma Purrfect Pals is among several nonprofits that do a lot of good for animals in Selma and Dallas County. To buy a ticket for the raffle, go to Selma Animal Hospital.
