Roderick Levi Hill Jr.

Roderick Levi Hill Jr. age 85, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
He was born in Selma on Aug. 11, 1931, to the late Levi Hill and Etta Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Morgan Hill; and three sisters, Carrie Etta Hill Marshall, Lena Mary Hill Green and Ophelia Antoinette Hill Bady.
Roderick honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He continued to serve his country as an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for over 40 years.
He was a faithful member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Roderick was a member of International Masons, the Charles Smith Lodge No. 162 O.E.S., Royal Star, Chapter No. 14, and Buckeye Grand Lodge.
He leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces and nephews, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, at noon from Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
