YMCA holds open house

The YMCA of Selma-Dallas County held an open house on Saturday, giving the community a chance to see all of the different classes that the Y offers.

Based on the turnout, it appeared to be a success.

While the event was likely geared toward people who haven’t joined the YMCA, members also found it useful.

Many of the YMCA’s regulars used the open house to try out classes that they hadn’t taken part in before.

The YMCA held 16 total classes in all Saturday and they covered a variety of topics.  From belly dancing to kickboxing, there were a lot of different options.

Saturday’s event was a great idea by the YMCA. There are a lot of different classes offered at the YMCA and unless people in the community frequent the Y, it’d be hard for them to know what all is available.
