Crash claims life of Selma business owner

A single-vehicle crash Thursday night claimed the life of a Selma resident and business owner.
Elizabeth Renee Kelley Wilkerson, 30, was killed when the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse she was driving left the roadway and struck a concrete culvert, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Wilkerson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers.
The crash happened on Alabama 219 near the 2-mile marker, one mile southwest of Selma. No further information was available Friday morning, and the crash remains under investigation.
Wilkerson owns the Tally Ho Restaurant, along with her husband, Paul. She is also survived by her daughter, Annese Elizabeth Wilkerson, and parents, Bob and Donna Kelley.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. Cornerstone Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Burton and Bob Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a college fund for Annese at First Cahawba Bank, P.O. Box 2140, Selma, AL 36702.
