Lew “Bobby” Wallace Jones, Sr., 80, a resident of Prattville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with the Rev. Tom Taylor, the Rev. Will Dismukie and the Rev. Kristian Paul Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens in Selma. at 1 p.m. with Prattville Memorial directing. Visitation will be held at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, from 5-7 p.m.
Mr. Jones was member of Masonic Lodge No. 89, KCCH and Scotish Rite. He was a proud veteran of The United States Army and Retired Civil Service. He was with Selma Times Journal from 1958 until 1977.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Flora Mae Jones; three brothers, Ernest “Jack” Jones, Jr., Whitmer Jones and Brady Jones; and one sister, Mary Ann Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Willis Jones; two sons, Lew (Sherri) Jones, Jr. and Jon (Tammy) Jones; four grandsons, Joshua Jones, Jered (Lindsey) Jones, Steven (Carson) Jones and Kristian (Kiersti) Jones; one granddaughter, Jessica (David) Gober; three great-granddaughters, Anzleigh Jones, Emery Jones and Wavorly Jones; one sister, Janice (Pat) Jones Scott; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
