Investigators seek info in fatal fire

It’s a crime that has left even the most seasoned investigators shocked and troubled.
On Thursday, someone set fire to a house on Pettus Street. Five people lived inside the home, and two died from injuries sustained in the blaze.
The victims were Katrina Moore, 44, and her 20-year-old daughter Coleman. Katrina was on in-house dialysis at the time of the fire, whole Coleman had cerebral palsy.
The case is one of the saddest in recent memory. These two women were already dealing with serious health issues, which undoubtedly played an issue in their ability to escape the fire in time.
Why anyone would set fire to the Moore’s home is a mystery. Investigators are still trying to answer that question.
But the Alabama State Fire Marshal ruled Friday that the case is definitely arson.
Anyone with information about the fire should contact local authorities. The Moore family deserves justice in this case, and all of Selma will be safer when the person or people responsible are behind bars.
Surely someone out there knows something that will lead to a break in the case.
