Ethel Mae (Moppins) Tolvert

Ethel Mae (Moppins) Tolvert was born on Sept. 28, 1927, in Orrville to the late Louis and Lula Moppins. She was the eighth of nine children.

On Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at the home of her daughter, Geraldine and son-in-law, Stanley in Wabbaseka, Arkansas, Ethel was called home to be with the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memories six loving and devoted daughters, Delores Collier of Chicago, Illinois, Earlie Edwards of Cleveland, Ohio, Geraldine (Stanley) Moore of Wabbaseka, Arkansas, Odessa Vaughan of Cleveland, Ohio, Bernice (Leon) Bell of Mobile and Vivian (Anthony) Black of Selma; one sister, Lula Moppins Brown of Chicago, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a loving, faithful caregiver, Ms. Betty Cook.

Funeral services will Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Arnold Garrett Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery by Paradise Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

The Family Hour will be Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at Randall J. Miller Funeral Home, located at 608 St. Phillips St., Selma, AL, (334) 874-9081. Please send flowers to Miller Funeral Home.
