Selma 56, Francis Marion 40 (Boys)
James Anderson scored 21 points as Selma improved to 2-0 with a 56-40 victory over Francis Marion. Jeff Huff had 14 points for the Saints and Jerryone Patterson added 13 more After leading 27-20 at the half, Selma led by as much as 18 in the second half.
Selma plays at Carver on Friday night in Montgomery.
Selma 57, Francis Marion 22 (Girls)
Areyana Williams scored 19 points as Selma (2-0) defeated Francis Marion 57-22 on Tuesday night. Ta’Sharri Grimes had 14 points and four rebounds and Aaliyah Hatcher added another 10 for the Saints.
Cahaba Christian 72,
Meadowview 64 (Boys)
Free throw shooting plagued Meadowview Christian (0-2) Tuesday night in a 72-64 loss to Cahaba Christian.
The Trojans made just 41 percent of their free throws and they were costly in a close game. Sam Dabit scored 22 points to lead Meadowview in scoring and Justin McGuire had 20 points. Garrett Grantham chipped in another nine. Meadowview plays at Conecuh Springs on Friday.
Tuscaloosa 60, Morgan 30 (Boys)
Tuscaloosa Academy pulled away from Morgan Academy (0-1) in the second half during a 60-30 win on Tuesday night.
Britton Adams, Sawyer Hopkins and Hardin Utsey led the Senators with six points apiece in the game. Terrence Wilson had four points.
The Senators play last season’s state champion, Lee-Scott Academy, on the road on Thursday night.
