Sturdivant Fair will hold its sixth annual Artisans Fair Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The fair is always a good mix of Selma originals. This year the fair will feature original paintings, ceramics, pine straw baskets, calligraphy, jewelry, quilts, scarves, fine wooden bowls, doll clothes, lotions, soaps and candles, jams and jellies, breads, cakes, candy and cheeses.

The fair is a great opportunity to get some of your Christmas shopping done and also serves as a fundraiser for Sturdivant Hall Museum. It’s also a chance to support local vendors.

This time of the year we’re always harping on shopping local and this is a great place to start. We hope to see big crowds at the Artisans Fair this weekend. It’s the perfect place to buy a local and original gift made right here in Selma.
