There is something special about sitting around the dinner table or a campfire listening to someone tell a story. Storytelling is an age-old art form that has been passed along from generation to generation.
Tonight and tomorrow night ArtsRevive will host the 38th annual Tale Tellin’ Festival. The festival not only honors Selma’s own Kathryn Tucker Windham, but it also brings people together to laugh and enjoy some of the best storytellers like this year’s headliners, Norton Dill, Suzi “Mama” Whaples and Pat Nease.
Storytelling isn’t something families do as often as they used to, so it is a great opportunity to enjoy in the tradition. The festival starts at 6 p.m. each night. Tickets start at $15.
