Lila Garrett, 88, of Sardis, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 1, 2016.

Funeral services for Mrs. Garrett will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at noon from Good Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. John Ward officiating. Burial to follow in the churchyard cemetery.

Mrs. Garrett will lay in state one hour prior to service.

Viewing and visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Service on Friday, Oct. 7 from 2-8 p.m.

Mrs. Garrett leaves to cherish her beautiful memories five sons, (Pennsylvania) Garrett; Hosea (Nevel) of Selma, Melvin (Sallie) of Sardis, Hubert (Pamela) of Birmingham; Milton (Linda Faye) and Willie (Suzanne) of Huntsville; two daughters, Ganell (Jimmy) Ingram of Middleburg, Florida and Shirley (Levente) Stewart of Birmingham; a devoted granddaughter, LaToya (Jeffery) Coleman of Montgomery; and a loyal and dedicated niece, Ronda (Tommie) Ivey of Birmingham. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
