Watching the children in the YMCA of Selma-Dallas County’s soccer program would bring a smile to anyone’s face. The children in the youngest, 3-5 year-old age group, ran up and down the field kicking the ball the best they could.

Every few minutes the coaches would swap out players to make sure everyone got a chance to play. Sports team our youth teamwork and give them a chance to make new friends.

It also gives them an opportunity to run around and play, instead of sitting on a couch playing video games.

The YMCA has many programs coming up this year.

Basketball registration will start next week and registration for cheerleading, a new program at the YMCA, is already underway.
