The Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce has launched a new website amid a rebranding effort.

The website address is still the same, selmaalabama.com, but includes more information and expanded pages.

The website includes a Chamber membership directory and community calendar as well as information on the history of Selma and Dallas County as well as local attractions, lodging, dining and more. There is also advice and resources for business owners and entrepreneurs and benefits of joining the Chamber.

The website is part of an overall rebranding of the Chamber.

“The reason for the branding is important is not only to refresh our image and get us back on top of mind in the community but also to really differentiate us from other local organizations,” said Landon Nichols, destination and marketing coordinator for the Chamber. “There are so many organizations doing great work in Selma.”

Nichols said the new brand focuses on five buzz words: Connect, inform, advocate, develop and promote.

“We feel as if those five words really capture everything that we do,” Nichols said.

The new website has been live for a few weeks. In addition to the new site, the Chamber has also revamped its social media presence.

“We want to be as accessible as possible to people in Selma and Dallas County,” Nichols said. “We are here supporting businesses and we are supporting the community. We are here to be a resource.”
