“Joe” Walter Clay Chandler, 88, of Jones, passed away July 13, 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Chandler; children, Audrey (Billy) Quarles and Walter E. (Barbara) Chandler; grandchildren, Brad (Monica) Chandler and Adam Chandler; great-grandchildren, JoAnna Chandler and Knox Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at Milton Baptist Church, in Jones, with Dr. Tom Tucker, the Rev. Paul Atchison and the Rev. Art Hartley officiating. Interment will be in Milton Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be Friday, July 15 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Chandler, Phillip Chandler, Neal Chandler, Melvin Parker, Donnie Nelson and Landon Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Hammond, Jim Carr, Vasser Caver and Roger Speakman.
