Selma, Orrville and Valley Grande fireworks shows give people plenty to do on Fourth of July

It’s going to be a fun weekend in Selma, Valley Grande and Orrville.
All three municipalities are hosting fireworks shows on the Fourth of July — meaning it’s a short drive for anyone in Dallas County to see a show Monday evening.
Fireworks aren’t cheap and all three municipalities have invested a lot into making sure this July 4 is a memorable one for their citizens. Due to that, we hope that there’s a big crowd at all three shows.
It’s been a few years since Selma has had a fireworks show, so anyone within the city limits should take advantage of it, especially if citizens want it to become an annual event again. The city’s laser and fireworks show will be Monday night at Memorial Stadium at 8:15 p.m.
Last year the city held an event on the Fourth of July that wasn’t well attended.
Although there weren’t fireworks at that event, it was a disappointing turnout after weeks of planning. The city is banking on fireworks to convince people to get outside and enjoy the city. We hope that’s the case.
Valley Grande will host its annual fireworks show Monday at 9 p.m. at Valley Grande City Park.
In the hours leading up to the show, there will be games and a rock climbing wall for people to climb.
Orrville’s program will kickoff at 7:30 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 8 p.m.
All three shows are a great chance to get out in the community with friends and family and to enjoy what will hopefully be a nice night of weather in Dallas County.
It’s become an American tradition to celebrate our country’s founding with a patriotic fireworks show on the Fourth of July.
This year everyone in Dallas County has three chances to take in a show.
