Gloria Lindsey Tanner, age 61, a resident of Selma and former resident of Montgomery, died Sunday, June, 5, 2016. A celebration of life service will be Thursday, June 9 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville, with the Rev. Steve Campbell officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home Directing. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Mattie Lindsey; sister, Shirley Ann Bowden; and niece, Shannon Bowden. She is survived by her husband, Michael Gene Tanner of Selma; children, Lee (Catherine) Tanner of Greenville, Heather (David) Lyons Sr. of West Point, Georgia, and Brandon Tanner of Selma; grandchildren, Olivia (Derrick) Williams of Greenville, Kendall Gibson of Mobile, Kyle Tanner of Lompoc, California, Jared Tanner and Chloe Sawicki, both of Greenville, Tanner-Lindsey Lyons of Troy, Harrison Lyons Jr., Callen Tanner and Chapel Tanner, all of Selma; sister, Lisa (Tim) Talley of Montgomery; brothers, Jimmy “Buddy” (Joanne) Lindsey of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Chris Lindsey of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was very much loved by all of her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
