Louanne Ellison, age 78, of Selma, passed away May 26, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry C. and Mattie Lou Weston.

Surviving are her husband, James B. Ellison; children, David Ellison and Jerry (Janet) Ellison; brother, Joe H. (Mary) Weston; grandchildren, Justin (Natalie) Ellison, Jason (Courtney) Ellison and Jessica (Steven) Bowman, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Denny McClendon, the Rev. Tom Stacey and the Rev. Ed Byrom officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10 a.m.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and the deacons of Fairview Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be John W. Jones Jr., Cecil Strickland and Charles D. Ellis.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of Shelby Baptist Hospital and Southern Care Hospice for their professional and loving care, and attention.
