Georgia Mae Dubose Harris, 78, of Beloit, passed away May 14, 2016, at her home. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 21 at noon at Sidney Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. Joseph Finch officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Harris; daughter, Lorene Harris-Sanders; three brothers, Samuel Dubose Jr., Willie “Joe” Dubose and Theopolis Dubose; sister, Lois Dubose; parents-in-law, Robert and Lorene Harris.
She is survived by her stepmother, Juanita Dubose of Detroit; two sons, Eddie (Minnie) Harris of Selma and Charles (Mary) Harris of Beloit; seven daughters, Shirley Mann of Montgomery, Sharon (Robert) Hardy and Audrey Cunningham of Selma, Patricia (Frank) Stevens of Hinesville, Georgia, Sandra (Quentin) Marable of Fairfield, Yolanda Chambers of Bowie, Maryland, and Teryl (Eddie) Dragg of Prattville; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty (L.C.) Dennis of Catherine, Eula Dubose of Hoover, Debra Taylor of Atlanta and Alfreda Jenkins of Detroit; and three brothers, W.S. Dubose of Birmingham, Charlie Dubose of Catherine and the Rev. William Dubose of Detroit.
