Jean Taccone Huff

Jean Taccone Huff passed away at home, surrounded by family, May 8, 2016, at the age of 91. She was born April 14, 1925, to the late Nick and Mabel Taccone. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Duke and Marijane Duke; and brother, David Taccone.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Willard Murry Huff; son, David Huff; daughter, Diane Huff Pitts; grandchildren, Meghan Huff (Jason) Grantham, Jonathan (Jennifer) Huff, Jeremy (Laura) Huff, Jacob (Rachel) Pitts, Tyler Pitts and John Pitts; sisters-in-law, Melwyn Taccone and Laura Huff Griffin; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Jean was a member of Elkdale Baptist Church since its inception and quietly served through Prime Timers and as secretary of her Sunday School class. At the age of 70, she retired from a long career with the Selma Water Works. Even into their 80s, the Huffs provided Meals-on-Wheels to homebound Selma residents.
Private graveside services and interment were in New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Huff, Jeremy Huff, Jacob Pitts, Tyler Pitts, John Pitts, and Jason Grantham.
