Eloise Grindle Howell Wales, age 88, of Selma, passed away May 11, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Ruby Grindle; daughter, Patricia Lewis; and sisters, Lucille Howell and Lois Watson.

Surviving are her children, Betty (Steve) Lawrence, Sandra Flournoy, Vivian (Garry) Clem and Robert “Rocky” Howell; brothers, Roland Grindle Jr. and Michael Grindle; sister, Doris Bess; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 15 at 3 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Pat Grindle officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 2 – 3 p.m.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
