George Ishman Jr., 66, of Sardis, passed away May 8, 2016, at Crowne Healthcare Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for May 14 at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle of Praise with Dr. Al L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethany Baptist Church with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing. He is survived by his spouse, Bertha K. Ishman; sons, Edwin (Valarie) Wilson of Valley Grande, Sammie (Erma) Ishman of Brewton and Fred (Dazzirine) Ishman of Decatur; four brothers; four sisters; 11 grandchilren; and three daughters-in-law.
