Youth roundup: baseball and softball games from April 23

EDITOR’S NOTE: Here are more game recaps from games played as part of the Selma Recreation Department youth baseball and softball leagues. These recaps are provided by the recreation department and published as often as possible.

First Cahawba Bank 18, Cougar Chevron 13 (7-8)

Olivia Stone and Jamesha Prevo each scored four runs to give First Cahawba Bank an 18-13 win over Cougar Chevron. Jaidyn Dixon scored three runs for First Cahawba Bank and Cadreonna Moore and Darrica Whitlock each contributed two runs. Christy Hasberry and LyShell Richardson scored one run apiece for First Cahawba Bank. Audrey Lumpkin led the way for Cougar Chevron with three runs. Cassidy Kent, Clara Lockhart and Hayden Fitts all cross home plate twice for Cougar Chevron. Ashanti Davis, Karyah Reynolds, Mary Grace Coley and Skyler Duke scored a run apiece.

 

Mee Too 5, Bent Tree 1 (11-12)

Mee Too’s Benjamin Feister scored two runs to propel his team over Bent Tree 5-1. Matthew Hand, Derrick Brown and Reid Bergeron each added a run for Me Too. Matthew King scored the lone run for Bent Tree.

 

Cougar Chevron 12, Henry Brick 4 (7-8)

James Jones, Nick Thomas and Ethan Hearon scored two runs each for Cougar Chevron to lead their team over Henry Brick 12-4. Kaleb Munford, Trevor White, Wood Jones, Taylon Sigler, Randall Stoudenmire and Tayem Hammad added runs for Cougar Chevron. For Henry Brick, Calvin Drake III, Caden Tellier, Kenyan Brewster and Braylon Matthews scored a run apiece.

 

Dallas Avenue 4, VFW 1 (11-12)

Joshua Brown scored two runs to lead Dallas Avenue Pharmacy to a 4-1 victory over VFW. Arron Strong and Jeremiah McMillian also scored a run apiece for Dallas Avenue Pharmacy. Lane Nichols gave VFW its lone run of the game.
