Rev. John C. Jones Sr., 59, of Selma, passed away April 29, 2016, at Baptist Health System. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 1:30 p.m. at New Life with Elder Demetrius Murray officiating.

Burial will follow in John The Baptist with Miller Funeral Service directing. He is survived by his spouse, Pastor Bessie Jones; parents, Robert and Alberta Jones; five sons, John C. Jr., Willie, Oscar, Demetrius and Rodrick; two daughters, Sakkera Jones and Tamekia Pickett; three brothers, Robert Jones of Selma, Samuel Jones of Pensacola, Florida, and Walter Robertson of New York; four sisters, Pearl Jones, Verdel Mason of Selma, Shirley Thomas of Georgia and Irene Allen of Selma; 19 grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law; two aunts, Idell Bradley and Zettie Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the class of 1977.
