George Wayne Finley was born September 18, 1956, to the late Mammi Marie Finley and George Washing Finley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Faye Finley, and later wife, Susan Finley.

He passed away April 30, 2016, leaving behind his daughters, Rebecca (Jon) Chappelle and Sarah (Matthew) Langston; two grandchildren; brother, Author Finley; sisters, Gretcheal (Butch) Wiggins, Georgeann (Mike) Massey, Jackie (Tim) Ferrell, Delorise (Jim) Vansandt and Wendy (Chris) Smith; fiancé, April Julian; honorary daughter, Katelynn Smith; and honorary son, John Smith.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m. at Selma Church of God with the Rev. Ronnie Blankenship officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m.

The family is accepting flowers or memorial donations to help with final expenses may be made in lieu thereof.
