Kathryn Tesch Carter, age 93 of Selma, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at 11 a.m. at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Carter Sr. She is survived by her children, Carol Moldoveanu (Serban), John T. (Tommy) Carter (June); and Johanna Carter; her grandson, Cole Benton III (April); and her great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Memorial United Methodist Church at 2150 Broad Street, Selma AL, 36701, the Humane Society of Central Alabama, P.O. Box 511, Selma, AL, 36702-0511, or the charity of choice.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held later in the day.
