Hazel Lorraine Clearman, age 83 of Selma passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016, at her son’s home in Johnson City, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 2 p.m. in the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Cecil Williamson officiating and burial following at New Live Oak Cemetery. She was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Clearman, and her parents, Ollie and Christine Helms.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Clearman (Ronda) of Montverde, Florida, Timothy Clearman (Vickie) of Johnson City; her three grandchildren, Kimberly Saenz (Billy) of Galveston, Texas, Amy Weisiger of Dothan, and Lori McCarty (Omar) of Johnson City; eight great-grandchildren, Colby, Lakin and Abbi Payne; Nathan and Noah Weisiger; Nora, Olive and “her baby” Maille McCarty; and her brother, Ollie Helms (Lula).

Pallbearers will be Nathan Weisiger, Billy Saenz, Chad Wells, James Bearden, John Coon Jr. and Gil Thistrup.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Avalon Hospice at 208 Sunset Drive, Suite 340, Johnson City, TN 37604. They were such a huge blessing to Hazel!

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
